How
to reach Sicily
By train
All trains going direction Catania and
Siracusa stop at the railway station of
GiardiniNaxos/Taormina, so
there is no need to change trains. Instead, for the trains
to Palermo, you must change the train in Messina.

By car
Arriving by car to Villa San Giovanni there is a convenient
ferry service: they leave almost every half hour and you do
not need a reservation: you just buy the ticket directly
(the fare depends on the car and it is around Euro 28.00).
The crossing to reach the port of
Messina takes about thirty minutes. After landing in
Messina, take the highway A18 towards Catania,
proceed for approximately 50 kilometres
and exit in Giardini Naxos
(the fourth exit after Tremestieri,
Roccalumera and Taormina).

How to
reach the hotel
In Giardini Naxos the Hotel
Palladio occupies the corner between the seaside IV
Novembre, San Giovanni Square
and
the main Corso of
Giardini Naxos, the
Corso Umberto I, where at N. 470
is the entrance, easily recognizable for the red, blue
and yellow façade.

A convenient way to reach hotel Palladio is to take a bus:
the "Interbus" buses leave
from Catania airport and in 45
minutes by highway get directly in front of our hotel.
Taormina is the direction to take and stop off at "Piazza
San Giovanni” - Giardini-Naxos.
Once you get off the bus you have to cross the square and
turn right onto Corso Umberto
(parallel street to the waterfront) where 10 meters from the
square there is the entrance to the Hotel.
You buy the ticket on the bus and it costs about 4.00 Euro.

From the railway station
Taormina-Giardini Naxos railway
Station.
Distance of 1km.
Buses pass in front of the station about every 20 minutes,
you buy the ticket on the bus. The direction to take is
Catania and the stop is "Piazza San Giovanni” -
Giardini-Naxos. Off the bus you
must go back for 100 meters.
From the highway

After leaving the highway follow the signs to the center of
Giardini Naxos and you will get
to the main road that, after a
kilometre, becomes the promenade IV
Novembre, at this point on you
right you will have the sea and on the left the
Piazza San Giovanni (with a fountain in the middle and a
church with a high cone dome): on the corner of the
square and the waterfront is located Palladio Hotel,
but the entrance is from the
Corso Umberto I, the parallel street to the
waterfront. You should therefore continue beyond the
square for about 400 meters and then take the first road on
the left onto the Corso Umberto
and turn back towards the square: here you will find our
entrance, easily recognizable also by the red, blue and
yellow façade. |
